More Than an Athlete

At the Fondation de France launch event in London, Melvil addressed an audience on parasport, visibility, and the structural absence that shapes young athletes' careers. He spoke clearly about what support actually means — not symbolic recognition, but infrastructure, access, and continuity.

He didn't ask for attention. He used it.

Melvil is an active public advocate for SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) medical research — a progressive neuromuscular condition that affects muscle strength and motor function. His advocacy is rooted in direct personal experience as a parasport athlete. He has raised money for medical research charities through multiple campaigns and public events, and uses his platform to push for funding and awareness of SMA research.

Most athletes at this level focus entirely on the court. Melvil is also building.

  • Dualplay — AI agent for student athletes managing brand deals and dual career pathways. Built himself to solve the structural gaps he experienced firsthand. Now available globally.
  • On Wheels — a visibility and storytelling platform for parasport athletes. Tagline: “On Wheels. On Blades. On Grit. The many ways we move.”

This is a young person using his platform deliberately and effectively.
